pbVoltb currently has a position open for an bElectrical Designerb in Portland, OR. This role will be responsible for supporting Engineers and producing timely and accurate drawing packages for complex aircraft electrical installations proposals including schematic diagrams, electrical interconnect drawings, 2D harness layout drawings, 3D harness installation drawings, 3D electrical equipment installation drawings, and detailed harness net list bill of materials. iAll work must be done to applicable CAD and engineering standards.ip pbJob Dutiesb ulliDevelop 2D aircraft electrical interconnect wiring drawings including harnessing net list and bill of materials using working understanding of aircraft harnessing, drafting standards and customer specifications with minimal or no supervision from sketches provided by others. liAlso develop 3D harness installation drawings and electrical equipment installation drawings following quality procedures and standard design processes. liDevelop wiring processes to include inspection methods and installation procedures for incorporation into electrical design specifications referenced on drawings. liPerform thorough review checks of own work and the work of others. liSupport troubleshooting of field wiring problems. liSupport the development of Maintenance and Installation Instructions. liulp pThis is a contingenttemporary to direct hire opportunity in Portland, OR and offered through bVolt Engineering and Technical Servicesb which is located in Auburn, Washington.pdesign background using electrical design software such as SolidWorks, OrCad, Zuken E3 or Mentor Graphics preferred. liAbility to understand and develop aircraft, navigation, communication and electrical system wiring diagrams and harness drawings. liUnderstand the use of electrical test equipment including a strong understanding of basic electrical troubleshooting techniques. liAbility to use aircraft manufactures maintenance manuals and applicable technical data. liSolid understanding of design drafting practices and engineering systems utilized in the aviation industry. liLogical, resourceful and systematic about developing detailed drawing communications. liAbility to work autonomously and effectively interface with a multi-disciplined Engineering Team and Project Managers. liAptitude for detail, accuracy, neatness and thoroughness. liProficient with Microsoft office suite applications. liSolid written and spoken communication abilities is required.liulp pb PLEASE NOTEb Must be currently available and authorized to work for any company in the USA.
